Rakic - Zavala - The small fishing village Zavala is situated on the southern part of the Island, approx 35km from the capital Hvar. Surrounded from beautiful olive groves, densely pine forests and numerous shingle beaches and hidden bays offer calmness and recovery to its visitors. The long and illuminated promenade connects all the small towns. With a boat you can reach several bays as well as the neighbouring Island Scedro. Many vineyards are extending above Zavala and in the neighbour village Sv. nedelja - here the best vines from Hvar are produced. In the village of Zavala you will find a small supermarket as well as some restaurants. Here, at a slope, densely covered with Mediterranean pines forests, in Zavala, is our house with only 150m distance to the sea. You can reach the centre comfortably over a path directly at the sea what will take you around 5 minutes by foot. Zavala - DEVERON - Zavala - Welcome to apartments DEVERON on Island Hvar, the sunniest Dalmatian Island. Apartments are situated in picturesque village Zavala, on the southern side of the Island of Hvar. It takes about 15 minutes with the car from the port of Stari Grad to Jelsa (about 10km), and another 15 min from Jelsa to Zavala. Small picturesque villages, like this one, with preserved traditional houses are especially interesting. There are many beaches in Zavala, bigger and smaller pebble beaches, where you can enjoy untouched nature and crystal-clear sea, and places where you can find your privacy or just walk. There is a small Island of Scedro right across the channel, a little paradise for wind surfers. You can leave your equipment by the sea and in the safe place at the same time. Zavala - Apartmani Puljic - Zavala - Zavala is a small village, 7km south of Jelsa, on the southern coast of Hvar, facing open sea. It is located on the local road that goes from Jelsa, through Pitve then through the long and dark tunnel (1400 m) with traffic light because it's so narrow two cars can't pass each other. Below the village there are several absolutely beautiful pebbly beaches with crystal clean and clear water. The most attractive beach is at Petrascica (with a cave). There is a little bar restaurant preparing freshly caught fish and refreshments. A perfect place to enjoy in holiday, with a cold beer or a glass of wine. Off the main season you can have the whole beach just for yourself. The place hasn't been cought by mass tourism and you can enjoy a real peace and connection with the nature. The coast between Zavala and the village of Sveta Nedjelja (10 km west of Zavala) has several little coves with wonderful fine pebble beaches where you can find some privacy.
