The bigger town Split, center of region Dalmatia, is 45 km away in northern direction. Split is ancient roman place, 1700 years old, with 250.000 inhabitants.
There is also smaller town Omiš, which is 15 km far from Pisak. It has old middle aged town-center and long tradition of singing in informal small groups (klapa). Near Omiš there is also the mouth of the river Cetina with an amazing canoyn where the tourists enjoy in rafting all the spring, summer and autumn.
Toward south, about 15 km from Pisak, there is town Makarska with rich night life in lot of cafes and night clubs.
