Rovinj is located on the western coast of Istria, the biggest Adriatic peninsula, which is only a one hour ride away from Trieste, 270 km away from Zagreb, a little bit more than 500 km away from Vienna and around 700 km away from Munich.
Rovinj has around 15.000 inhabitants (14.234), and most of them are largely engaged in tourism, in the fishing trade, in agriculture, wine business and in viticulture. The town has a rich history, as well as interesting architectural buildings, beautiful natural resources and industrious people who are certainly worth a visit.

Rovinj's summers are exceptionally eventful. There is hardly an evening without some concert you can go to, whether you prefer traditional local music, pop, jazz or classical music. You can visit exhibits where many local and foreign artists exhibit their works, well-known open-air exhibit 'Grisia' in the old-town street of the same name, theatrical performances, artistic happenings and many other things.
In all this variety of summer events our biggest celebration of the year proudly stands out, ' Rovinj's Night'. For three days at the end of August tens of thousands of people gather in Rovinj to celebrate enjoying music, dancing, tasty food and drinks. At midnight of the last day all of us stand enchanted and silent while witnessing the indescribable beauty of one of the biggest fireworks on the Adriatic Sea. [...]
