PULA ATTRACTIONS
Temple of Roma and Emporer Augustus - This beautiful building of Roman friezes and columns is still in good nick after all these years (since the 1st century).
Hercules Gate - Hercules lives on in this well preserved Roman arch. Pass under his bearded head and club as you make your way through the city.
Archaeological Museum - Enter through the 2nd century Twin Gate as an introduction to historical delights dating back to Neolithic times. Afterwards, shake off the dust with a walk outside in the surrounding garden.
PULA CUISINE
Local delicacies include oysters and shellfish. A favourite in Istria, the clawless spider crab, even has its own festival celebrated during May. The local version of minestrone soup (manistra) is also popular.
