Njivice is situated on the western coast of the island Krk, well connected with the other towns. Njivice has a few pictoresque coves (Beli Kamik, Kijac, Blatna and Sepen), suitable for swimming and fishing. Njivice settlement was founded in the 15th century, and the remains of Roman architecture were found on the very coast.

Once a fishermen's village, Njivice is today a tourist resort with a typical vegetation found in the cove including a nice sand beach Beli Kamik. In Njivice there are different holiday accommodation faciliteis as hotels, a campsite, apartments, bungalows, several sports facilities (tennis, miniature golf, boccia, basketball); recreation at sea - speed boats, scooters, surfing or parachute floating.
