Next to the northern entrance of the "Bay of Augusta" (port and town of Mali Lošinj), you can find the bay of "Artatore" (Artaturi), where Kandija is the smallest settlement with it's own cove and mole with moorings. There are 20 houses close to the sea in Kandija-bay and only a few of them have touristic apartments for rent. Kandija-bay is the perfect starting point for those comming with their own boat and who want to explore one the most beautyfull archipelagos in the Adriatic Sea. There are so many bays and small islands, where everyone can find the right place to spend a day or more surrounded by immense tranquility. Geographically Kandija-bay is protected from all winds and therefore it is a secure and most practical place to have your boat very near to our apartment-house. The settlement Kandija is surrounded by a beautyfull nature and tipical mediterranean vegetation, such as pinewoods, "macchia", ..... Kandija-bay offers safety especially for families with children, since there is no traffic passing through the settlement. Nearby there are possibilities of horseback-riding, panoramic-flights by airplane from the sport-airport of Mali Lošinj, which is only 600 m away from the settlement (approaching Kandija you have to pass by the airport), go-cart, endless walking or cycling tours and many, many other activities. Not to forget that in the touristic village of Artatore, which is only at a few minutes walking distance from Kandija, there are restaurants, shops and stores, a church and other usefull facilities, which again offers the convenience not to drive to the town of Mali Lošinj every day for the daily shopping needs. Since the settlement Kandija is only 12 km away from Mali Lošinj, it is perfectly reachable by car within only a few minutes or by your own boat boat as well.
