The island of Pasman ( 63 km2, 65 km of irregular coast ), belongs to the Zadar island group. It is connected to the island of Ugljan by a bridge over the Zdrelac straits, while ferryboat lines connect it to Zadar and Biograd. The Pasman Channel lies between the island and the mainland. At places it is only 2 km wide, and it is dotted with dozens of tiny islands, which make this an ideal region for all types of water sports, sailing and diving. The sea currents in this area change direction every 6 hours, thus making the waters here among the cleanest in the entire Adriatic.
The island's well-preserved landscape contains many species of medicinal and aromatic herbs, vineyards, fields and olive groves, as well as numerous sand and gravel beaches, making it a true choice for those who want to take a break from the hustle and bustle of life in more populated areas.
House Mate, on the island of Pasman, has two bedrooms, each with two beds, so it can host up to 4 persons. The fresh water reservoir holds 20.000 l. Electricity of 12 V is solar powered. Running cold water is installed in the kitchen and bathroom. The bathroom has a shower with thermo-bags, which bags, filled with water, should be placed in a sunny position to warm up the water in them. The water should be spent here sparingly.
It is possible to rent this house during the winter, but water can only get heated on the stove, and a winter rental includes additional costs for heating materials.
The kitchen has a gas refrigerator and a gas stove. Dishes and bed linen are prepared for you. Fresh bed linen arrives once a week. There is a built barbecue outside.
You may leave your car on a free and secure parking, on the island of Pasman. Transfer from this parking place to the house once upon arrival and back to the car once at the end of your stay is also free of charge.
The house is also accessible by car to about 150m distance, by the road that leads to the bay of Vitane, this road is rough and makeshift, and it is not recommended for low-lying cars. The path between the parking place and the house is steep. If you choose access by your own vehicle, parking in the bay of Vitane is free of charge but not guarded. In the booking process please inform us if you choose an access by your own car or the service of transfer. Ferry tickets are in both situations not included in the price.
Groceries supply is organized twice a week, for the houses that can not be reached by car. We recommend that you bring your mobile phone, so you can contact us in case of need. You may recharge your mobile phone in the house, using your recharger that you also use in your car.
